I remember the first time i saw a lightsaber. One of the most magical moments of my childhood. Usa star wars 3a episode ix- the rise of skywalker design. Amazing, and I legitimately loved every minute of it. Great story, great feel and a blast to experience! Can't wait to see it again.

Some story elements feel a bit like a stretch, but overall, the movie does a good job at bringing most of the (broken) ends together that TLJ had left open or even created itself. This is the only saga film that I am not intending to watch again. It's unintriguing, dull, inconsistent, scattered and rushed. This is the only saga film that I would label as a bad movie.
The story goes nuts at a certain point, to a point of no return, completely killing any remaining hint of curiosity and tension regarding what will happen - because nothing makes sense anymore.
There is a point where everything becomes overly metaphysical, ghosts manipulate matter, everyone suddenly has new ultimate powers (here The Force is basically "god mode. and good characters can't die.
The whole Emperor Palpatine thing was completely unnecessary, and a sad excuse for not coming up with a real backing story.
The newly discovered family trees hint at a script writer just trying too hard to impress, and show up as pathetic. They could as well make Han Solo the son of Donald Trump and Chewbacca the grandson of Ned Stark, wouldn't look that different.
The ending kiss scene (no spoilers here. it screams "disney" so loud, is so out of place and idiotic, it's almost like they HAD to include that because their Disney movie formulas state you must include a kiss scene at the end. Instead of being excited, I wanted to vomit when seeing this, and felt embarrassed for seeing this movie.
Don't expect the battles to thrill you. They don't. As said above, once you realize that the good characters have "god mode" activated, and even killing them is not really killing them, then that's it, the movie loses its appetite. No edgy, thrilling action like in previous films. It's more like Teletubbies.
There is nothing during the movie that will shock you, or stir you up. Disney avoided that at all cost. They were afraid of "hurting" their fans. They were trying to take the "safest" storytelling route that will not anger anybody - which ironically, is exactly what kills this movie and makes it lame.
To the positive - great effects, nice humourous parts, inventive new worlds and aliens, good acting.
